Birth/death in the household

A change in your family situation can have consequences for assessments.

Does the assessment change if someone in the family dies?

If someone in the household dies, this may have consequences for the assessment. In the event of a death within the household, always report this to your municipality. The municipality will then notify us of this. You will receive notification of this.

If the deceased lived alone, please provide the RBG regional tax group with a mailing address. You can do in writing or on the phone. If you provide the information on the phone, the RBG is required to first ask you for the deceased’s citizen service number and date of birth.

Do I have to report a birth in the household to the RBG?

No, that is not necessary. Do make sure, however, to report a birth in the household to your municipality (the municipality will then notify us of this).
